To earn the Bear badge, a Scout must complete 12 of these 24 Achievements. These must be in the following categories: 1 for God, 3 for Country, 4 for Family, and 4 for Self. Achievements that were not used to earn the bear badge may be used as electives.
After the Bear badge has been earned, all remaining requirement letters will each count as an Elective for calculating Arrow Points.

Under status EP = Elective Points from electives, AP = Achievement Points for elective points earned from unused achievements,
and AHP = Arrow Head Points or the total number of elective points eligible for arrow head credit.
The first ten AHP earns one gold arrow head, each ten AHP after that earns one additional Silver arrow head.
Note: APs are not counted until a scout has earned enough Achievements in each of the four categories to allow these to be counted.
Also, while elective points toward arrow heads can be earned at any time, arrow heads will NOT be awarded until AFTER the Bear badge has been earned.
